Good Company Burgers Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026 | Last updated: August 24, 2026

Good Company Burgers, part of The MAR Group (collectively, “Good Company Burgers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website, contact us, sign up for communications, purchase merchandise, or otherwise interact with us online (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that we do not control, even if they are linked from our website.

1. Personal Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.

Information you provide directly. We may collect:

  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address.

  • Order and transaction information, such as the merchandise you purchase, order date, price, payment status, delivery or pickup details, and transaction history.

  • Payment information. Payments are processed by Squarespace and the payment processor offered at checkout. We generally do not receive or store your complete payment-card number or security code, although we may receive limited payment details such as payment status, card type, and the last digits of a card.

  • Account information, if customer accounts are enabled, such as login credentials and saved order or contact information.

  • Communications, including messages, questions, feedback, and other information you send through forms, email, or customer-service channels.

  • SMS marketing information, such as your mobile telephone number, your consent to receive promotional text messages, and your interactions with those messages.

  • Any other information you choose to provide. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through general contact forms or email.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from it;

  • browser type, device type, operating system, and device identifiers;

  • pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, search terms, and dates and times of visits;

  • shopping-cart activity, checkout activity, and abandoned-cart information;

  • cookie identifiers and similar online activity information; and

  • information used to detect fraud, protect the website, and keep the Services secure.

Information from other sources. We may receive information from vendors that help us operate the Services, such as Squarespace, payment processors, shipping or fulfillment providers, communications providers, analytics providers, fraud-prevention services, and social media platforms when you interact with our pages or content.

2. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:

  • operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Services;

  • process payments, fulfill orders, arrange shipping or pickup, provide order updates, and handle returns or customer-service requests;

  • respond to questions, comments, and other communications;

  • send transactional messages, such as purchase confirmations, receipts, shipping notices, and service updates;

  • send promotional text messages when you have provided the required consent and honor opt-out requests;

  • understand how visitors use the website, measure performance, and improve our products, content, and customer experience;

  • protect the security and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud, and enforce our policies;

  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations;

  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and

  • carry out another purpose disclosed to you when the information is collected or with your consent.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for features such as website navigation, security, customer accounts, shopping carts, and checkout. Squarespace may also use analytics and performance cookies on our behalf to help us understand website traffic, visitor activity, and cart abandonment.

  • We may also use third-party analytics, embedded content, maps, social media features, or advertising tools. Those providers may collect information about your activity over time and across different websites or online services, subject to their own privacy policies.

  • Where available, you can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or cookie-preferences link. You may also change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Services, including shopping-cart or checkout features, from working correctly.

  • Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is not a universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, our website may not respond to all Do Not Track signals. Where required by applicable law and supported by our systems, we will process legally recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

  • The MAR Group and affiliated businesses when reasonably necessary to operate, administer, and support Good Company Burgers.

  • Service providers, including Squarespace, payment processors, shipping and fulfillment providers, SMS and communications providers, website analytics providers, customer-support tools, security and fraud-prevention providers, and professional advisers. These parties may use information to perform services for us or as otherwise described in their own privacy notices.

  • Government authorities, courts, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property.

  • Parties to a business transaction, such as an actual or prospective merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or transfer of all or part of our business.

  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

We do not sell or share mobile telephone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with non-affiliated third parties for their own marketing. We may disclose this information to service providers that help us operate our SMS program, but only as needed to provide those services or as required by law.

5. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

  • We do not sell personal information for money.

  • Nevada law defines a “sale” more narrowly than some other state privacy laws. We do not sell covered information as that term is defined under Nevada law. Nevada residents may nevertheless submit a verified request directing us not to make a future sale of covered information by emailing hi@goodcompanyburgers.com with the subject line Nevada Privacy Request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

  • Some state laws may treat disclosures through certain advertising cookies or tracking technologies as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising, even when no money is exchanged. If we use those technologies, you may exercise available opt-out choices through our cookie-preferences tool or by contacting us as described below.

6. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • request access to or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you;

  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;

  • request deletion of certain personal information;

  • opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising;

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and

  • appeal a decision we make concerning a privacy request, where applicable.

You may submit a privacy request by emailing hi@goodcompanyburgers.com with the subject line Privacy Request. Please describe the request and identify the state or country in which you live. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and request. If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may require proof of authorization and may separately verify your identity.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by law, including when we cannot verify the request or must retain information to complete a transaction, comply with law, prevent fraud, protect security, or establish or defend legal claims.

SMS marketing choices

  • If you separately opt in to SMS marketing, Good Company Burgers may send recurring promotional text messages to the mobile number you provide. Consent is not a condition of making a purchase. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply.

  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a marketing text. You may reply HELP for help or contact us at hi@goodcompanyburgers.com. After opting out, you may receive a final message confirming your choice. Opting out of marketing texts does not prevent us from sending non-promotional messages that are necessary to complete or service a transaction when permitted by law.

7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to fulfill orders, provide customer service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the reason it was collected, and applicable legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, destroy, or de-identify it.

8. Data Security

  • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. Our website and online store are hosted by Squarespace, and payment information is handled by Squarespace and its supported payment processors. However, no website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential and for notifying us if you believe your account or interaction with us is no longer secure.

9. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may link to or include content from third parties, such as social media platforms, map providers, reservation or ordering services, delivery services, or payment providers. We do not control those third parties or their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy notices before providing information to them.

10. Changes to This Privacy PolicyWe may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the revised policy and update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice when required by law, such as by posting a notice on the website or providing notice through an appropriate customer communication channel.
